ZDNet reports that Bing reached 9.9% market share of U.S. searches in October, up from 9.4% in September.

The growth came at Yahoo’s expense as Yahoo was down to 18.0% share in October, from 18.8% in September. Google’s U.S. search share continued to rise to 65.4 in October, up from 64.9 in September, based on comScore’s data.

It looks as thought Microsoft’s search strategy could be seriously flawed if Yahoo’s market share continues to drop.
